NUOVE GENERAZIONI – 2° edition

Mostra itinerante – Udine centro storico 15 maggio – 3 giugno 2026

THE PROJECT

The “Nuove Generazioni” project promotes the convergence of culture and the business world. In particular, the first edition of the project saw the creation of an exhibition by the young AI artist Giacomo Urban. The artist visited four companies in our region, drawing inspiration from them to create works of art that were displayed in an exhibition at the Fondazione Friuli in Udine. In this second edition, Urban was joined by two other young artists from Friuli Venezia Giulia. The three creatives were tasked with revitalising two commercial premises in Udine’s historic centre by creating ‘Artist’s Shop Windows’. Each artist created a work of art in their own artistic style, decorating the windows of the vacant shops. The theme given to the artists was to imagine what these commercial spaces might look like through the language of creativity. This approach achieved a dual promotion: promoting three emerging artists from the region, who had the opportunity to showcase their art in the city centre; and promoting the vacant shops, which, when viewed from this perspective, might prove more attractive to potential buyers.

ARTISTS

Marta Lorenzon

Marta Lorenzon is a visual artist whose practice spans painting on canvas and urban art, with a particular focus on movement, understood as a process of breaking down and reassembling elements into signs and patches of colour. This interest is linked to further explorations of space, memory and the construction of the image.

Originally from the province of Pordenone, she graduated in Visual and Performing Arts from the IUAV University of Venice and subsequently specialised in editorial illustration at MiMaster in Milan.

She has taken part in national and international exhibitions, including Il segno dell’acqua (JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, Venice, 2022), the Combat Prize (G. Fattori Museum, Livorno, 2019), Provinciale Contemporaneo (Artekyp Gallery, Modena, 2018), Structure (Journ et Nuit Culture, Paris, 2013) and Annual Italian Illustrators 2013 (Sala San Leonardo, Venice).

He collaborates in the publishing sector with Mondadori, Sperling & Kupfer and L’Internazionale.
In recent years, he has devoted himself primarily to mural painting. In 2019, he took part in the Oculus training course, organised by Inward and sponsored by the Council of Ministers, obtaining the qualification of Urban Creativity Practitioner. Notable mural commissions include: ActionAid Italia, Tetra Pak and Electrolux.

He maintains his studio in Pordenone at Via della Motta 18/A, alternating between studio work and projects and assignments outside the region and abroad.

Giacomo Urban

He graduated in Multimedia and Digital Communication from the University of Udine and subsequently completed his training with an advanced course at the Global Cinematography Institute in Los Angeles (USA). This background has enabled him to become a cutting-edge multimedia content creator, making use of the latest technologies. Since 2022, with the advent of artificial intelligence, Urban has embarked on an individual artistic journey focused on creating images characterised by striking photorealism and the exploration of the thematic expression of the ‘strength of fragility’. Artificial intelligence, and consequently the images it generates, take the form of an emotional and exploratory dialogue between machine and human, with a sense of growth for both parties.

Davide Marzona

Dr Davide Marzona is an artist and composer who graduated from the “Giuseppe Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste with a degree in Music and New Technologies, having completed his thesis on an experimental audiovisual installation. His research focuses on the design and creation of audiovisual installations spread across the local area, in which sound, space and perception interact in an immersive way.

His works are distinguished by a constant reference to significant historical moments, reinterpreted through contemporary languages and innovative technologies. This approach is enriched by the expertise he has gained through teaching art history, which contributes to a critical and multi-layered interpretation of the content. His work thus lies at the intersection of memory, experimentation and sensory narration.
